The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) is excited to announce the next all-female U.S. Soccer D coaching course being offered in Maryland by MSYSA this Fall! The course will be held from October 13th to December 14th, 2025, in a blended format with the in-person meetings happening in Frederick Maryland.
MSYSA is proud to offer this all-female D-Course, valued at $410, completely ***free*** to all participants who successfully complete all assignments and highlights MSYSA’s commitment to empowering female coaches in Maryland and DC.
“We are excited to be able to continue to offer this free course to an underrepresented group in our community,” said Gandalf French, MSYSA Technical Director. “Being able to remove barriers for participation in a coaching education course will help to improve the environments for players and Grow the Game!”
The U.S. Soccer D Course is designed to equip student coaches with essential skills to foster player participation in welcoming and diverse environments. Led by experienced female Coach Educators, Nicole Arsenault and Dr. Sheri Huckleberry, the course aims to elevate coaching standards and contribute to better access to education for female coaches in Maryland and DC.
Upon successful completion of the U.S. Soccer D Course, student coaches will be awarded a U.S. Soccer D license, recognizing their dedication to coaching excellence. The course’s learning objectives include creating a positive and safe environment that encourages respect, inclusivity, and belonging, planning and designing effective training sessions, implementing activities to facilitate player learning, and organizing the game day environment.
