Below are the forms required to sanction a tournament in Maryland!
- All tournaments requiring sanctioning must fill out ALL of the forms in the “All Tournaments” section.
- If your tournament plans on accepting International Teams, you must fill out additional forms located in the “Tournaments with International Teams” section.

The “Designated Official of Hosting Organization” must be the current President of the hosting organization.
Beginning September 1, 2023, to help ensure adequate referee coverage for MSYSA sanctioned tournaments, only the following assignors may assign referees for MSYSA sanctioned tournaments:

To appear on this “Approved Assignor List”, assignors must sign and submit the Approved Assignor Pledge to greg@msysa.org.
Tournaments looking to be sanctioned by MSYSA must include language similar to the following within their competition rules and sign the USSF Certified Referee Assignment:
“Team officials are responsible for the behavior of the spectators. Team officials can be disciplined by the referee for failure to control their spectators. The competition authority has the ability to ban a spectator, forfeit a match, or expel a team from the competition for violations or abuse of a referee or the referee crew.”

- USSF Certified Referee Assignment (Assignor letter is to be submitted directly to MSYSA by the Assignor(s) via email and is to include the total number of games both as a number (e.g., 100) and as a percentage of the overall tournament based on anticipated game counts (e.g., 50%- if the tournament is anticipating a total of 200 matches being played). An example assignor letter can be viewed here.)
All forms should be scanned and submitted to the Tournament Administrator.
Following the completion of the tournament, please send the Post Tournament Report and scanned check to the Tournament Administrator.

After completing the requirements for hosting a tournament through MSYSA, any tournament looking to accept foreign teams needs to complete the online Hosting Sanctioning Application administered by US Soccer.
