The United Clubs League (UCL) brings together clubs from in and around Maryland and DC that are committed to providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused soccer environment. Leveraging the innate efficiencies of the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA), UCL is backed by numerous departments comprised of dozens of professionals working to provide an unmatched level of service, marketing, and overall experience at the most competitive price point available in the landscape. Name

  • “United”- Joined together for a common purpose. Working together for the betterment of the participants and additional stakeholders.
  • “Clubs”- Designed to be for clubs, by clubs. Club leadership has an active role in decision making via the Advisory Council.
  • “Empowered”- Giving the power to do, to make stronger and more confident. Credibility and inclusivity for a broad audience.

Elements

  • Circle- Universal sign for unity and community.
  • Soccer ball- A reminder that soccer is the mission. MSYSAs mission is to grow the game of soccer and to use the game to transform the lives of all who participate.
  • Stars- Symbolize excellence, positivity, and achievement.
  • Slight visual connectivity to US Soccer, the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of soccer in America. The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association is a direct member of US Soccer as a State Association Organization Member.
  • Color palette- Evokes collaboration with US Soccer and the Competition Architecture/Pathway Strategy as a step towards a more connected landscape.
