WED, OCT 31, Glen Burnie, MD – Congratulations to Kim Cook, the 2018 Maryland and East Region Female Recreational Coach of the Year! Kim is the head coach of two recreational girls’ teams, the assistant coach of a COED team, and the director of the Potomac Valley Youth Association (PVYA) soccer program. She works as a full time microbiologist and is a married mother of four. 

At PVYA, she has started an indoor winter futsal league, funded a partnership with Frederick County Public Schools for an outdoor futsal court, and started a 9U girls’ league. She organizes an annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser called “Coaches Game,” with coaches from the Frederick community.

Kim is noted for her integrity, selflessness, respect toward referees, teamwork, positivity, and constructive, optimistic coaching style. She has her National “E” License.

About the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association: MSYSA is a US Youth Soccer National State Association and is affiliated with both US Youth Soccer and the US Soccer Federation. The mission of MSYSA is to serve as the primary advocate for youth soccer in the state.
