DC United at home workouts
Mayor Muriel Bowser and D.C. United have teamed-up to create a 10-day-at-home workout challenge, free for all D.C. residents, to help improve physical and mental wellness during this uncertain and challenging time.
The 10-day challenge uses D.C. United Head Coach, Ben Olsen, and players from the club as coaches to guide residents through a series of workouts designed to be completed in the comfort of their home. Each day focuses on a different part of physical health, from upper body and core exercise to at-home cardio and stretching, to deliver an all-around level of wellness. The family-friendly workouts can be completed in under ten minutes and don’t require you to own or purchase any fitness equipment.
So, grab your family or roommates, and join us as we #UniteTheDistrict for a more #FitDC. Share your workout videos with #fitdc & #unitethedistrict for a chance to be sent some D.C. United swag.
Train @ home with MLS (#trainwithmls)
Major League Soccer just launched “Train With MLS” – a new, comprehensive digital experience on TrainwithMLS.com that features hundreds of training videos from MLS clubs for coaches, parents and recreational players of all ages and abilities.
Featuring world-class coaching from MLS clubs and first-team coaches, “Train With MLS” provides a central online location for youth players, parents, and coaches to find drills, workouts, coaching tips and fun soccer activities. With an initial library of hundreds of videos, “Train with MLS” will surface and showcase new content each week, organized in easy-to-understand categories, such as Ball Mastery, Dribbling, Fitness, and more.

It's a great hub hosting all of the resources players will need to continue their development at home. Soccer for Success at Home has finished for the season!
As they prepare for their fall season, they have compiled all their video sessions, which will remain on the Soccer for Success at Home web page. The page also includes other resources they've collected throughout the 12 weeks – everything from coloring sheets to tips on how to create a summertime routine to ways to get moving while at home. They encourage you to come back and visit these resources often, whether you're looking for an activity, want to try out that challenge from week 4 again, or are looking to sharpen up your skills.

Soccer FOR success at home resources
With DC schools closed and distance learning taking place, DC SCORES has created a series of at-home soccer and writing activities for children that will keep their minds and bodies active until they can join their teammates back in school. SCORES at-home activities are created with SCORES participants in-mind but are appropriate for all students in grades 3-8 (for grades K-2, check out our Junior Activities at the bottom of the page!). Each activity takes about 20 minutes to complete. We recommend either printing a copy of each PDF to complete the activity or you can access the PDFs from a computer or mobile device and complete the activities on your own paper.
We will be releasing new #SCORESatHome programming each weekday.

Tommy Thompson San Jose Earthquakes
Tommy Thompson is a former U-20 US National Team player and is currently a starter for the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer. He has created a list of short skill video clips where he demonstrates dribbling skills, juggling skills, cone work, ladder work, tricks, etc. All these skills can be done in the backyard, in the street, in the driveway, in the family room, etc.

A kick wall is a must for any soccer player. Technique is so important. Key components of technique include being able to properly pass a ball with the right amount of weight and receive a ball with the correct touch - a wall provides a great space to work on perfecting these elements. When practicing alone, using a wall can be a game changer for players who want to own their development.
