Deadlines to be aware of

CHANGES TO TEAM ROSTERS

Any and all changes made to your roster must at your respective registrars no later then midnight on the date of your age groups’ roster freeze date. Once the roster has been completed by your registrar, the roster must be forwarded to the MSYSA office. The roster can be faxed to MSYSA at 410-987-8707.

The roster freeze dates are as follows:

*These freeze dates do not apply to the team’s participating in the Region I Premier League. The freeze date for these teams is their first league game or the date provided by Region I.

COMPETITION SCHEDULES

State Cup matches take precedence over all scheduled competitions, except for Region 1 Premier League games (Saturday games only) per the agreement by all the Region 1 State Association Presidents. Match time requests to avoid conflicts may be entertained for special scheduling consideration, but are strongly discouraged.

Requests will be taken into consideration only if they are presented in writing to the Cup Director (mdstatecup@msysa.org) and Coordinators (cupschedules@msysa.org; girlscup@msysa.org) prior the schedule deadline of February 1st and states the specific conflict and the number of players affected. Conflicts noted by teams in regards to the schedule are subject to review by the cup committee. Any conflict noted after the deadline will not be honored.

No advance representation can be made with respect to granting any requests to change of dates or match times and coaching conflicts.

2008 Maryland State Cup Dates

The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association announces the 2008 MarylandState Cup.

A Part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series

The first and second round of play for age groups U-13 through U-18 will be April 5 and 6 ( rain date April 6, 12-13 )
Rounds three will be April 12 ( rain date April 13, 19 )
Semi finals for U13 - U18 age Groups will be April 26 ( rain date April 27 )
The U-19 age group competition will start as early as May 27and will end no later then June 7.
Finals for all age groups will be May 31.
Winners in all age groups will represent Maryland in the Region I competition to be held June 25 - July 1 in Portland, Maine.
Regional winners in the U-19, U-18, U-17, U-16, U-15, and U-14 age groups will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships to be held July 22-27 at Burns Park, Little Rock, Arkansas.
