In order to apply for your background check, please go to the link for National Center for Safety Initiatives and enter your information through the Self Registration page using the account number provided.
There are two account numbers set up for MSYSA. The self-pay account is to be used for all coaches, volunteers, club team administrators that would require each applicant to pay the backgrounc check. This account number is: 40521898. After entering this account number, you will be asked to provide personal information as well as authorization and consent to the background check, therefore it is important that you submit the information yourself. MSYSA will receive a "red light", "green light" determination based on criteria set by the National Council of Youth Sports.
When you get to the NCSI website, click on the "Self Registration" link on the left hand side and then enter the account number to apply for the background check.
Board members, ODP, DDP, MSYSA staff members must call the state office to obtain the MSYSA account number with NCSI. All other coaches and staff members of our club team affliates, you can choose the self pay account to obtain a background check.
