The "Data Entry for On Line Team Registration" procedures have been updated as of 8/5/2006 to provide improved instructions for the case of entering a Team Official with a child on the team. The new version is available now from the link at the right, and applies to both Club teams and Independent teams.
Procedures have been documented for entry of player and team official registration information into the on line system. The instructions are available for download from the link at the right, titled "Data Entry for On Line Team Registration". These instructions work for either Club Teams or Independent Teams; before the process can begin, the team must have been created by either the Club or, for Independent Teams, by MSYSA.
Registration procedures for Maryland-resident players joining teams in other states have been completed. An instruction document is available through a link at the right side of this screen. The document includes sample screen displays for each step in the process. Completion of data entry results in obtaining the new Player ID Number. The instructions are written for a parent or guardian to enter the player and family information, but this could also be done by the Team Manager or Coach.
Clarification on Printing of USYS Cards
Questions on printing of the USYS cards have arisen - the instructions previously posted are unclear on this. The on line registration process for Maryland residents joining teams in other states is not completed; the missing piece is having the registration forms and USYS cards print correctly. The instructions told users to download registration forms and complete them by hand, but were not so clear on the USYS cards.
The following interim approach is necessary until the on line process for Maryland players joining out of state teams is fully completed:
- For players going to VYSA teams, the USYS card will be printed by the team, but the player must first provide to the VYSA Team Manager the Player ID Number assigned by the MSYSA system.
- For players going to teams in other states, there are two possibilities:
- The team in the other state prints the USYS card (using the MSYSA Player ID)
- The USYS card is hand-printed.
