MSYSA policy prohibits lamination of USYS Member Passes because it interferes with existing registration and rostering procedures.  Some tournaments, however, require that laminated member passes be presented at tournament registration.

In the past, tournament officials have been contacted to request exemption from this requirement for our teams.  In all cases to date, adjustments were made to the tournament's lamination requirement that allowed Maryland teams to participate without violating MSYSA's policy on lamination.

Please contact the State Registrar if you plan to enter a tournament that requires lamination (if lamination is required it should be stated in the tournament invitation and/or tournament rules).  There is no guarantee that the tournament will make any adjustments, but a request for such consideration will be made to the tournament officials.  It would be best to make this inquiry before submitting an entry fee.
