In an effort to start formulating teams for the 2014 Region I Tournament, coaches may begin to move players around from one group to another beginning with training on Monday, April 7, 2014. This is being done to see the players in various combinations to aid in the selections for the 2014 Region I Tournament. Players should expect to move in and out of groups at the coaches’ discretion.

Final selections to invite a player to attend the Region I Tournament will be made after the Monday, May 5, 2014 training session. These team selections will be posted on the MSYSA website by Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Players that are not invited to attend the Region I Tournament will remain a part of the pool and as such should continue to train with the pool and will attend the Region I ID Camp in July.

All players that are invited to attend the Region I Tournament after training on Monday, May 5, 2014, and that accept by submitting their payment to the MSYSA state office by the deadline, will be attending the Region I Tournament. However, coaches can move invited players from one team to another until after training on Monday, June 2, 2014. Therefore, players must maintain expected training and development standards or their team assignments may change.

3/10/14- White jersey, white shorts, white socks (WWW)

3/17/14- Black jersey, red shorts, red socks (BRR)

3/24/14- WWW

3/31/14- BRR

4/7/14- WWW

4/28/14- BRR

5/5/14- WWW

5/12/14- BRR

5/19/14- WWW

6/2/14- BRR

6/16/14- WWW

The final uniform pick-up will be from 3:30-4:30 pm inside of the Warhill Sports Complex Indoor sports center (WISC building).  If you will be arriving later for the second game, Michele will be inside the Indoor Sports Center from the end of the first game until 8:15 pm.  

Players should wear their black jersey, red socks, and red shorts.  Always bring your alternate jersey/shorts to ALL games.  

Be sure to check the game schedule before heading to the fields for each game to ensure that you have the most up to date information.

Michele Hanks will be in the Bethesda area tonight from 7-8pm for those who would like to arrange to pick up the uniform for their player. To arrange the pick-up for your player please send Michele a text. At that time she will provide you with the specific meeting location.

The official game schedule for the 2014 VA Friendlies is now posted. Please continue to check the game schedule website for the most up to date information including any potential game cancelations/postponements. 

The Maryland State ODP teams are listed as follows:

Team GORDON = Maryland MD00A

Team TRAVIS = Maryland MD00B

Players should plan on arriving at the field one hour prior to the scheduled start time. Players should bring their full kit to all games.

As of this time the 2014 VA Friendlies' game schedules have not yet been officially released as they are still being tweaked. Therefore, any posted schedules at this time are unofficial and are most likely inaccurate. Once the game schedules are officially released by Virginia they will be posted here.

The 2000 Girls (U14) Maryland State ODP pool has been divided between two rosters (Team GORDON, Team TRAVIS) for the 2014 VA Friendlies scheduled for February 21-23, 2014. The two rosters have been constructed randomly with consideration being made for the position (e.g. GK, F, M, D) which each player self-report playing when they registered for tryouts to ensure that enough players from each position were placed on each roster.

As soon as Virginia releases the game schedule it will be posted here. Please plan on being in Williamsburg, VA by 5:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2014 so that you are prepared in the event that your player's team has a game on Friday evening.

The 2014 VA Friendlies are being held in Williamsburg, VA on the weekend of February 21-23, 2014. The specific game schedule for the 2000 Girls will be posted here as soon as it becomes available. Parents/guardians are responsible for securing lodging and transportation to and from this event for themselves and their player(s). Hotel accommodations are being managed by Anthony Travel. To book a hotel room please click the "Online Reservation System" link, enter the reservation number and access code (available below) and then select "Update Info". Input your information and then select "claim room" to finalize your reservation. Should you have any questions or problems please contact Anthony Travel (214-363-0073). Rooms are limited and are being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.


To review, modify or cancel your existing reservation, please access the Online Reservation System which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rooms must be booked by January 10th, 2014. After this date, rooms will be available by request basis only.

Room Cancellation Policy

Individual cancellations made after 8:00 AM ET on Monday, February 10, 2014 are subject to a $10 fee per room and a per room cancellation fee of 1 night’s room rate and tax at the hotel’s discretion. All cancellations must be made using the Online Reservation System https://blackbird.anthonytravel.com/customerside/ChangeRequest_Home.cfm. This process will require a change request to be submitted and only once a confirmation has been received will the requested change be complete.

Change Policy

Reservation change requests will be accepted online at Anthony Travel Online Reservation System Follow the link to submit changes to your name, check-in, check-out dates, cancel your room, change form of payment, and add special requests. Changes will be accepted online until 8:00 AM ET on Monday, February 10, 2014. After 8:00 AM ET on Monday, February 10, 2014 changes and cancellations will incur a $10 change fee per room.
