The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association announces its new state-run league.  The MSYSA-SL is a cup qualifying league with the winner of each age group receiving an automatic invitation to the Region I Colonial League and a first round bye in the Maryland State Cup for the following season. (Teams must demonstrate a continuity of roster from the previous year to the current year. To demonstrate continuity of roster, a minimum of 51% of the players from the team’s previous year roster must be on the team’s current roster.

A selection committee will select one (1) team from each of the six (6) Maryland regions, with an additional two (2) at-large teams rounding out the brackets.  If a region does not have an applicant, the open slots will become available for additional at-large teams. 

This league will be open to U13, U14 and U15 girls and boys.  Each team will play each team in their group once for a seven (7) game schedule.  At the end of league play a champion will be determined.
