Subject: National Coaching School “C” License Course

The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a USSF “C” License coaching course spread over two long weekends this summer. The first weekend will July 30, 31, August 1, 2 and the second weekend will be August 6,7,8 & 9 at the Soccer Association of Columbia, Ellicott City. Each day will start at 9am and finish at 8:30pm. All sessions are MANDATORY for certification.
The course tuition is $710.00. This is the “commuter” cost, which means that meals, transportation to course site, and overnight accommodations are not included. (A list of hotels will be provided for candidates looking for accommodations.)
Below you will find additional information on course eligibility, application deadlines, application procedure, and examinations. An application form is also attached. Although the course will be conducted by USSF National Coaching Staff; all applications, payments, administration and inquiries will be handled by MSYSA except for wavier approvals that will be handled by the federation. Candidates can pay either by check or credit card. (Checks should be made payable to MSYSA.) Applications will be processed on a first come basis and space is limited to 40 candidates. It is strongly recommended that candidates be in “good” physical condition to meet the demands of the course. Everyone is expected to participate.
Applications
Your completed application must be receive by the state office by July 2th. Please include the following:
1) Application form and payment for course tuition in the form of a check or credit card number. Checks should be made payable to MSYSA.
2) One passport-size photograph (1” x 2”).
3) Documentation necessary to substantiate eligibility. (Copy of license, NSCAA Diploma, etc.)
Faxed copies of the application will not be accepted.
Space is limited for all of the National Coaching School sessions. Registration will close when the school is full or four weeks before the school begins. A cancellation fee of $150 will be assessed to candidates who cancel less than 3 weeks from the start of the course.
Information on check-in procedures, suggested equipment, course schedule, course workbook, and FIFA laws book will be emailed or mailed to fully-paid applicants approximately 3 weeks prior to the course.
