The National "D" license is a 36 to 40-hour course designed for the experienced coach who has already earned a National "E" license. The focus of this course is to improve a coach’s ability to positively influence individual players and teams.

The National “E” License is an 18 hour course, which covers the elementary principles of coaching and prepares interested coaches for the “D” license course.

The “F” license is a 2-hour course, conducted entirely online, intended for all parents and coaches of youth players. The focus of this grassroots course is to share U.S. Soccer’s best practices in creating a fun, activity-centered and age-appropriate environment for 5-8 year old players. Beginning April 1, 2015, this course is a pre-requisite for the National "E" License.

Youth Module: Level I (U6-U8)

Youth Module: Level II (U10-U12)

The State Youth modules are to provide the most current and advanced information on growth and development of the youth soccer player.  The youth player is defined as any child from pre-school through adolescence.  The course takes the approach that the GAME WITHIN THE CHILD is the center of all sessions, decisions, and actions taken by the child, coach, and organization.  It is the ultimate goal of youth soccer development within the United States to unlock the game within the child to reach their full soccer potential.

National Youth Certificate

The National Youth certificate is designed to provide club directors of coaching, youth coaches, physical education teachers, and soccer administrators with the knowledge to successfully structure soccer environments for children 4-12. The role of the facilitator is explored; the physical, mental and emotional needs and capabilities of players from 4-12 are explored; the lessons from developmental psychology are explored; and the art of teaching is explored.
